Emily grew up a rink rat on the coast of Australia, where roller hockey was the closest thing to the NHL she got. She escaped to sunny California where she quickly became infamous for her love of shoes. When she isn't reading or dreaming of a life where a TARDIS appears at her door, she's watching the LA Kings.

Lori Hultin

Lori has spent most of her career as a public relations and marketing professional for technology companies, but has always harbored a passion for writing. An early fan of the Atlanta Flames in childhood, marrying a Swede years later rekindled her appreciation for hockey, and the Los Angeles Kings then transformed that appreciation into what could be called a mildly obsessive love affair. When she’s not watching hockey, Lori spends lots of time on pool decks supporting her swimmer daughters, the oldest of whom just finished her D1 college career at the University of Arizona, cheering on her UCLA Bruins, going to as many concerts as humanly (and financially) possible, drinking wine and reading good books. Lori was also a certified aerobics instructor in her deep, dark past, but now gets most of her exercise from long walks, slightly less intense Pilates sessions and yelling at hockey from her living room couch.

Tom Cummings

Tom is a Southern California sports fan perpetually stuck in the north state. Since he fell in love with the Los Angeles Rams at the age of 10, any team that prefixed itself with the LA moniker won his heart. When he’s not walking his pups, making a living at his day gig, or spending precious time with the incomparable Mrs. C, he’s writing. To be honest, he's often writing then, too.
One of his primary goals as a writer is to get the Rams to win another Super Bowl.

Writers can do that, right?

Rabbi Rabbs

Few can say they attended both a rabbinical academy and Northwestern University's prestigious Medill School of Journalism. Rabbi Rabbs can. He has worked as a rabbi and as a sports reporter covering Los Angeles Kings games for the former Glendale News-Press/Burbank Daily Review.

Few can say they are fans of both the Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Rabbi Rabbs can. In 2013, he even created a Facebook page for his rare breed that loves each of those bitter NHL rivals. Rabbi Rabbs still runs that page today, when he is not studying Talmud or surfing in the ocean. Yes, surfing.

Rabbi Rabbs is neither a typical rabbi nor a typical hockey fan, and he is stoked to bring his unique viewpoints to CaliSports News.

Check out his articles here.

My name is Mike and I was born and raised in Anaheim, CA. My mom bought my dad and I tickets to the first Ducks game on October 8th, 1993 and I have been a Ducks fan ever since.  I have been a season ticket or mini-plan holder every year. I have a large collection of hockey jerseys (mainly Ducks). I love writing and talking about hockey (and other sports too!).
