Chicago Bears Rally Back To Beat Chargers 22-19

The Chargers and Bears came into tonight’s game on losing streaks, the Bears came out on a winning streak as the Bolts fell 22-19. Philip Rivers has received a ton of praise this season for his work but tonight belonged to Jay Cutler and the Bears.

It was San Diego who got on the board first. Rivers connected with Danny Woodhead for a 14 yard touchdown. Josh Lambo tacked on the extra point and the Chargers lead 7-0 after the 1st quarter.

In the second quarter Jason Verrett intercepted a Cutler pass that was intended for Alshon Jeffery. Verrett took it to the house for a 68 yard pick 6. Lambo missed the extra point wide left and the Chargers lead 13-0.

The Bears responded with a 1 yard touchdown pass from Cutler to Martellus Bennett. Robbie Gould knocked in the extra point and the Bears cut the lead to 13-7.

Lambo hit a 31 yard field goal at the end of the half and the Chargers went into the locker room up 16-7.

At the start of the 4th quarter Jeremy Langford rushed up the middle for a 1 yard touchdown. This cut the lead to 16-14. Lambo responded with a 22 yard field goal to push the lead to 19-14.

With 3 minutes left in the game Cutler lead the Bears down the field. Zach Miller caught a spectacular one handed catch for a 25 yard touchdown that gave the Bears their first lead of the night. The Bears went for 2 and converted and the Bears took a 22-19 lead.

Cutler ended the game with 345 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Langford had 18 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown. Jeffery caught 10 pases for 151 yards and a touchdown.

For the Chargers Rivers totaled 280 yards and a touchdown. Woodhead had 6 carries for 33 yards, but also lead the team in receiving yards with 6 catches for 78 yards.

Eric Weddle lead the team in tackles with 13. The Bolts have a bye week next week and will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11.
