Chris Paul Leads Clippers Past Jazz 107-101

Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers (3-1) hosted the Utah Jazz (1-3)  Monday night and came away with a 107-101 victory. The Clippers were firing on all cylinders last night.Paul notched his first triple double as a Clipper, Blake Griffin chipped in 31 points, and the bench provided 39 to help the cause.

Paul’s triple double was the first of the season for the NBA. He scored 13 point, dished 12 assists, and grabbed ten rebounds. Chris Paul lead the Clippers in rebounding, as they were out rebounded 51-37.

Jamal Crawford did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Kings was able to play last night. He scored 19 points, and also notched his 15,000th career point. Crawford told ESPN.com this about the milestone.

“It’s a pretty good number,” Crawford said. “I’ve been really consistent.”

Reggie Bullock also hit 4 three pointers to help the Clippers get the victory. For the Jazz Gordon Hayward scored 27 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 5 assists. Doc Rivers was very impressed with Hayward’s performance.

The kid is amazing,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said of Hayward. “I’ve had a man crush for two years.”

With the loss the Jazz have now lost three of their last four games. The Clippers have struggled shooting the ball thus far but last night was a good sign for the ball club. With Chris Paul leading the way the Clips shot 51% from the field and 89% from the free throw line.
