Huston Street Blows Save, Angels Fall 5-3

ANAHEIM, Ca- Huston Street blew his 5th save of the year allowing 5 runs in the 9th as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim loss to the Houston Astros 5-3 on Saturday.

For the Halos Andrew Heaney got the start. He lasted 5 innings allowing 6 hits and 0 runs. He struck out 4 and walked 2 and was awarded a no decision for his efforts.

On the other side Mike Fiers got the start. He pitched 7 strong innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 8 and was awarded a no decision as well.

Mike Trout got the offense started for the Halos. He hit a solo home run to left center field that put the Angels on the board. It was his 35 bomb of the year and gave the Halos a 1-0 lead.

C.J. Cron hit a solo home run of his own in the 2nd inning. It was his 13th bomb of the year and the Angels held a 2-0 advantage.

Cron followed that up with another home run in the 7th inning to push the Halo lead to 3-0.

In the 9th inning Street came on to help the Angels complete the sweep but the Astros had other plans.

Preston Tucker hit a solo home run to right field. It was his 13th of the season and cut the lead to 3-1.

Jose Altuve followed with a RBI single to left that brought in George Springer and cut the lead to 3-2. Jed Lowrie delivered the game winning home run when he hit a 3-run shot to right field. His bomb was his 9th of the year and gave the Astros a 5-3 win.

The Angels will travel to Seattle to take on the Mariners tonight at 7:10 p.m. PST
