The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Phoenix Suns on the second night of a back to back and ran out of gas as they fell 120-101.

Kobe Bryant did not play last night a he needed rest after playing 30+ minutes on Sunday night. Metta World Peace got the start in his place.

The Suns came into the game with the second fastest pace in the NBA as Jeff Hornacek and his team love to push the ball. Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe have had a excellent start to this season and that continued against the Lakers.

Bledsoe had 21 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound in 28 minutes. Knight was the main attraction with 30 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. His triple-double was extremely impressive as he set a career high mark in assist. It was also his first career triple-double.

P.J. Tucker also reached double figures with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Alex Len and Mirza Teletovic reached double figures with 10 and a 11 respectively. T.J. Warren and Archie Goodwin also reached double figures with 19 and 12.

For the Lakers Jordan Clarkson lead the way in scoring with 20 points. Roy Hibbert and D’Angelo Russell reached double figures with 14 and 13 points.

World Peace added 12, while Lou Williams chipped in 16 off the bench. Nick Young also reached double figures with 11 as the Lakers had 6 players reach double figures.

The Lakers were outscored in the fourth quarter 40-26 which caused them to lose the game. Some people will try to blame the Lakers playing in the second night of a back to back but Lakers head coach Byron Scott was not going for that excuse.

Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com spoke to Scott after the loss.

The Lakers are off until Friday night when they take on the Toronto Raptors at home.
