The Los Angeles Lakers have continued their win streak with their victory tonight over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The buzzer  sounded and the game was over at 100-94.

The game was a memorable one for every NBA fan. It was the night we had been anticipating since their win against the Spurs on Friday. Kobe Bryant couldn’t quite hit the mark but tonight he completed the task in Minneapolis, the place the Lakers called home for their first 12 seasons until moving to LA in 1960.

Kobe Bryant has become the NBA’s third All-Time scorer, surpassing the legend that is Michael Jordan. The two have long been compared to each other and tonight, with a free throw, Bryant overtook the Chicago Bulls player.

The Minnesota Timberwolves stopped the game and their owner Glen Taylor presented Bryant with the game ball, but what made the night even sweeter was Bryant’s dagger with the shot clock winding down and Andrew Wiggins right in his face.

It is only fitting that Bryant lead the team in scoring tonight with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Not far behind him was Carlos Boozer with 22.

Minnesota Timberwolves won the turn over game which really slowed them down. Zach LaVine and Anthony Bennett struggled with shooting; LaVine had 10 and Bennett had 6.

Michael Jordan had this to say about the achievement:

“I congratulate Kobe on reaching this milestone,” Jordan, the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, said in a statement given to The Associated Press. “He’s obviously a great player, with a strong work ethic and has an equally strong passion for the game of basketball. I’ve enjoyed watching his game evolve over the years, and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.”

The Lakers will take on Pacers tomorrow night.
