SuperCharger MVP- Week 1

The San Diego Chargers were able to rally back from a 21-3 deficit to beat the Detroit Lions in Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season. One Charger stuck out the most and is named the SuperCharger MVP.

The quarterback is the most important position on the field and it was no different over the weekend for the Chargers. This week’s MVP was Philip Rivers. He completed 35/42 passes for 404 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not a bad day for all of our fantasy football experts out there.

SportsCenter reported that it was Rivers 7th career 400 passing yard game.

Kevin Acee of UT-San Diego reported that Rivers also broke a franchise record for completing his final 20 passes of the day.

Rick Henne of Chargers.com reported that Rivers also tied a franchise record for most touchdown passes in franchise history.

Congratulations to our week 1 SuperCharger MVP Philip Rivers!
