Morrow was having a strong year with the club before the injury. With the surgery Morrow should be ready to go for next season.
On May 6 we wrote the following:
“Morrow has been suffering from some shoulder inflammation and the Padres feel it’s best to shut him down for a few days.
Morrow has been great so far this season. In his 5 starts he is 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA.
The trip to the disabled list is a precautionary measure and Brock believes that it will help the Padres later on in the season. With such a long season a quick trip to the DL in May can go a long way come August and September.
Padres fans are hoping it’s just quick trip as they appreciate his efforts so far this season.
We wish Morrow the best of the luck on his upcoming surgery.
